Kate's Playground Hard Core Movies

some news of April

I recorded at Studio Ferber next disc Stefano di Batista for Blue Note.Je had not collaborated with the Italian sax for eight years. The sessions were relaxed and effective. The U.S. producer Michael Cuscuna directed the recording of this energetic quintet formed by Stefano / alto sax and soprano Fabrizo Bosso / trumpet (very impressive), Baptiste Trotignon / Hammond organ (and surprisingly good performance), Russell Malone, guitar and extremely impressive Eric Harland on drums. Eric Legnini came one evening to a small rere piano and Brazilian singer (which I can not remember the name but evocation causes admiring whistles) put his voice on a file sent by a modern way. At one time we would have gone there to record it: it's more expensive and more challenging! Yes, but as is more Prices would not it be done ...

Sylvain Beuf came to several meetings to Montreuil for her next album. Nothing to report except for one day the presence of Andre Ceccarelli on drums. I was honored to host this great man in our studios.
I mixed a song for a compilation around Africa produced by the band U2. Nice piece (but not original) by Tony Allen, drummer and bandleader Fela.
I'm curious to hear the final list (there are, among other Youssou Ndour and some sizes of this caliber). The files are mixed in Los Angeles left for the mastering of the entire disk.
I learned that the hard Bojan, "Xenophenia", was among the three discs nominated for the Victoires de la Musique for Best Jazz Album of 2007. It is always fun, you feel less alone.
I mixed the next album by guitarist Eric Lohrer, a quartet and elegant feline.
few meetings around the original mastering of three albums including the Lebanese musician Issa, talented and extremely nice. The Picci
disk is finished and we will go and mastered in London with Mike Marsh, as expected. I am very curious ....
I am currently organizing two future productions, two very exciting projects which I will talk soon. I walk a little and come to you.
