The descent of Calvary
As always, the faithful of the chapel were found many Sunday, September 5 to celebrate
advance the Nativity of the Virgin. (September 8).
Before the ceremony, the head of the association and had wanted to welcome Mayran Father Jerome, Priest of Holy Cross Parish in ... Narbonne (Narbonne St Just Cathedral Basilica of Saint Paul ...). New Lagrassien, he chaired the celebration assisted by Father Michel de l'Abbaye.
The large attendance, participated in the ceremony uniting the hymns traditional Carla and the liturgical songs such as creed in Latin, played in unison by all pilgrims. Many devotees were happy to find Gregorian chants of their childhood.
After a final song of meditation on Mary, the faithful have gathered on the esplanade behind the banner of Mary, for the procession to Calvary where we proceeded to celebrate the blessing of the harvest.
It singing with one voice "We're At Queen" that the pilgrims a day have descended to the Chapel of Our Lady of Carla. They are found in sheep for drinks served by volunteers of the association. Some elected officials had made the trip, which Mr. Rene Ortega, Mayor of Lagrasse, Marcel Rainville traveling outside of the department was excused. This convivial meetings, exchange and sharing was followed by a traditional country meal. The 140 guests were entertained with style chicken prepared once again by our friendly Treasurer Jean-Luc and the inevitable "ear" of Martha.
The association thanked the Municipality for the provision of equipment as usual. She also thanked all participants and all people of goodwill who have ensured the success of the day, and in record time is stored the equipment in the porch of the chapel.
